The club is responsible for creating a safe and caring environment
in which youngsters can develop both their talents of and love of
the game of cricket, in which the children’s welfare is always
paramount.
2. The club recognises that all young people have
a right to be safe and to be treated with dignity and respect, and
to receive equal treatment regardless of age, sex, race, culture,
religion, language or ability.
3. The club is responsible for safe guarding the
welfare of all youngsters by protecting them from physical, sexual
or emotional abuse, discrimination, neglect and bullying.
4. The club holds itself responsible for ensuring
that all club coaches and personnel working with youngsters understand
the importance of and are fully conversant with information and
guidelines contained in the English Cricket Boards Child Protection
Awareness and Procedures Handbook.
5. The club is committed to the promotion of good
practise in accordance with ECB recommendations and Directives,
and will ensure that the number and duration of games and training
sessions for young cricketers are tailored to youngsters age and
ability.
6. The club aims to provide qualified cricket coaches
for its young members, and will ensure that all coaches, Club members
and volunteers working with young cricketers have signed the Club
Self-Declaration Form in relation to child protection.

to indicators or disclosures of abuse and our designated Protection
