Forest Row Cricket Club Constitution

The Club shall be known as Forest Row Cricket Club

The purpose of the club will be to encourage the playing and development of the game of cricket within the village of Forest Row

Finance. The club will be financed by donations, subscriptions and such fundraising as is deemed necessary for the continuation of the club

Subscriptions will be levied on categories as defined in this constitution, namely adult playing members, junior playing members, casual member and non playing member. The level of subscription will be decided at each annual general meeting and shall apply for the following season.

Donations from individuals in excess of the adult playing member subscription shall carry with it the title of Friends of Forest Row Cricket Club.

MEMBERSHIP - Shall be open to all irrespective of age, disability, gender, race, ethnic origin, creed colour, social status and sexual orientation.

RUNNING AND OPERATION OF CLUB - Shall be controlled by an elected committee. Each position shall be filled by an election held at the Annual General Meeting.

The Committee shall consist of CHAIRMAN,VICE CHAIRMAN and SECRETARY.
All ELECTED CAPTAINS, and VICE CAPTAINS, TREASURER, plus FOUR ORDINARY MEMBERS. Voting at the AGM shall be by a simple show of hands and Chaired by the Chairman. Voting in Committee shall be by a simple show of hands, with the Chairman having no vote but in the event of a tie having the casting vote

The Annual General Meeting shall be held following the season and by no later than NOVEMBER 30th

CO OPTION - Power to co opt as deemed appropriate shall be given to the committee but co opted members shall not be entitled to vote.

THE SECRETARY - Shall be responsible for correspondence and minutes of all meetings.
Players, Officials, Members, Supporters and Employees must adhere to the club code of conduct which prohibits racially abusive comments and actions against fellow players, officials, members,
Supporters and employees. Failure to comply with this instruction will result in disciplinary action being taken against the offender(s)as specified in the club/league constitution.

THE TREASURER shall be responsible for all financial matters including an audited annual balance sheet and annual report. They shall also be responsible for an up to date financial report as required by the committee and ensure that an insurance policy is in place.

THE FINANCIAL YEAR shall be from OCTOBER 1st to SEPTEMBER 30th.

ELIGIBILITY - No person shall be eligible to take part in the business of the club unless the appropriate subscription has been paid by the specified date, or membership agreed by the committee.

AMMENDMENT TO THE CONSTITUTION shall only be made at the AGM or special general meeting.
