Another Fine Perfomance for the Trenchy!!

Forest Row entertained Hartfield on Sunday. After a delayed start, Hartfield won the toss and elected to bat. Row opened with Trench and Britt. They tied Ball (7) and Emery (12) down with some tight bowling. Britt had emery easily missed behind. Trench made the breakthrough, Emery driving a low full toss to Adam Webb. They combined again to remove Lavercombe. Trench then up rooted Jacksons (4) off stump. S. Medhurst & Bowley added 96 against the change bowlers. The stand was ended when Britt returned to dismiss Medhurst for a belligerent 53. Paul Row then ran out Bowley(45) with a fine throw, as hartfield finished on 172-6.
In reply, Row lost Phil Rowe early, and when Britt was superbly caught miss-timing a cut, Row were soon reduced to 56-6. Paul Rowe with Trench set about a repair job, Rowe hitting 25. Trench’s enterprising 39 looked capable of salaving a draw. However, Medhurst bowled him off his pads, handing Hartfield the draw.
