Forest Row, in partnership with Douche, entertained St. Francis in the 3rd round of the Wisdom trophy. Winning the toss, St. Francis elected to bat on a very dry wicket. Neil Divall & Paul Rowe opened, bowling well – though without fortune. Rowe finally secured the breakthrough, pouching a stinging return chance from Weeraratne (18) with the score on 23. Perrera joined Ranerweera (10) to add 52, when Ranerweera skied a chance to Divall – off Rowe. The change bowlers struggled to keep on top of the batting – not helped by some lapses in the field. Hillen finally accounted for Perrera – a brutal 86. Dissanayke clubbed 35* as St. Francis totalled a formidable 243 –6

With absences weakening the batting, Row opened with Britt and Sam Edwards. The pair got Row off to a good start, until Edwards (12) miss-cued - caught by cover. Good running by Britt & Barnett, kept the tempo up, when Britt (20) was bowled by a short ball, which kept low. Barnett (46) & N Divall (35) added 66 for the 4th wicket. However, when they and Jackson (10) were dismissed, as lower order succumb to the pressure of the increasing run rate. Row all out for 183 and the first teams – 1st defeat of the season.
